So due to my birthday, my cousin's wedding, my hectic school class schedule/demands, and packing for my surprise family beach trip I have been gone. I am also ashamed to say I have been absent from the gym for three weeks and that is why there are no new posts under any of my gym tabs. I was actually able to finally get back in the gym this afternoon and ran interval training for 30 minutes straight which is pretty good due to my absence. My body size wise has luckily not been hindered to badly and can now put size 4 shorts on and almost zip them. I have been really good at drinking the same amount of water as I am soda/ tea, but I have been splurging a little when I go out on my diet. (ie. not eating as healthy as I should) However, I have been eating more at home and am benefiting from focusing on portion control. I will continue to try to up my water intake and exercise more. I will probably resume lifting the week I get back from my trip. I also have decided to change my lifting/workout plan up a little bit. I believe that I have been slightly slacking on my cardio, so I will be lifting/ running like i usually do one week and then the next will just be running and ab focused. These weeks will alternate accordingly and hopefully I will develop my abs and cardio a little more as well as still keep up my strength.

Tonight was both good and bad. The GOOD: Kennesaw State Lacrosse team won their game against Tennessee Wesleyan tonight they will be going to the SELC Championship. The BAD: A had his last college lacrosse game which was sad for him because he has been playing the sport for seven years. It has been one of his greatest loves and holds a huge place in his heart that rivals his love for me. He was the person who taught me to love this sport and I have seen it grow him into the wonderful man he is today. Through this sport he has come out of his shell and has been able to walk up to people and start conversations, become a better leader in his work, and achieve new goals he never thought possible at the beginning. Lacrosse helped him find his voice and a firm ground to stand on. And as much as I tire from hearing endless lacrosse discussions on dates, the constant want to get the new, better stick/ helmet/ clothes, and the urge he feels when he says "Kenzie just watch one more lacrosse clip," but it is never just one more, I will miss it all.
I went to Panama City with A and some of our friends. We were mostly on the beach tanning, playing lacrosse, volleyball, paddle boarding, and skim boarding, but we also experienced the nightlife. We went to some great restaurants like Mike's, Rum Runners, and Thomas'. Overall it was a great trip and completely worth the early morning drive. I can't wait to vacation again with our friends maybe some time in Summer or Fall. My Cousin and his Fiance are having their wedding at the family farm, so my family went up to help clean with the rest of the extended family. I learned to cut stakes, and signs with a table saw, but we didn't have safety goggles so I wore my mom's diva sunglasses (stylish and productive). I then lopped tree branches for them to burn which was a little hard with my shoulder, so that didn't last long, but I did my part by carrying the pieces and raking piles of scraps to the fire. Then, I worked with my dad cutting trees with a bow saw, which is another thing I learned to use that day. Lastly, I helped with the arts and crafts portion of the wedding painting signs, nailing letters to the door, and creating hanging mason jars. It was fun and after a ten hour manual labor day I was tired!!!! P.S. My parents are the ones in the table saw picture, it was a work day so close ups of people's faces are not allowed. It's barely warm enough!!! I decided that since A is out of town in Ohio, that I would slip into my swimsuit and take some me time. I came home from my field experience, grabbed my roomies, and we kicked it poolside. I always bring a beach bag and it includes: a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and my towel clips! Member to protect from skin cancer and eye cancer to wear your sunglasses even on cloudy days and always reapply your sunscreen or it's not doing its job.
My wonderful boyfriend took me on the best date I have ever had that has topped all of our six years worth of dates. He first came to my apartment and we exchanged gifts. I gave him a framed picture of our picture that was in the paper of us at the Gobble Jog and a lacrosse shooting shirt he's been wanting. He gave me a third book of love quotes in a collection he has started for me, a chocolate owl (our college mascot is an owl), a assorted box of Hershey chocolates (did not contain an of the bad kind like the orange cream filled), and his last present was in a box that said love filled with plastic red hearts that he found himself and my Pandora charm box laying on top of them. Then, he took me to Chili's because he knows how much I love fish and opened my car door as well as the normal doors he always opens. We then come home and watch the Hunger Games movie together and enjoyed some of my assorted chocolates. Was officially the best date every!!! I love him and he never ceases to surprise me. My Pandora Charm was handpicked by him and is called everlasting love. Life has been pretty hectic this past couple of weeks and the snow did not slow down the process!!! I have been staying on top of my school work while working a job, doing field experience hours, and applying for TOSS Abroad for in the fall. A lot of deadlines have been hitting lately and so I have not been able to update my blog and actually was getting behind because I chose to workout with whatever free time I had. I finally was able to catch a lot of things up as well as add some new things I had planned as well. Flip through if you have the time!!!
There is something that resembles a blizzard happening n Georgia right now!! It snows only every 3 to 4 years down here and usually not this much!!!
Today was the first game of the 2015 Lacrosse Spring Season and is also the first game of A's last year playing in college. It was a complete shut out game between Kennesaw State University and Valdosta State University. Definitely was fun minus the freezing temperatures and constant frigid wind.
It is 15 degrees outside today and with windchill it feels like 4 degrees. Had to bundle up this morning and put a scarf on. My eyes look tired because I stayed up late last night doing homework and filling out needed forms for field experience.
