I did not realize it at the time, but later upon discussion with A I realized I did something amazing. Here was our conversation:
Me: "I was going to up my weight by ten to 100 lbs. but the 100lbs on the big weights were heavier than the small weights."
A: "What weights did you put on?"
Me: " A 45 plus the bar which is 45 which equals 90 and then two 5lbs to equal ten which totals 100."
A: "Wait what repeat your weights again."
Me: I repeat the above sentence.
A: "Oh my goodness Kenzie, no you squatted 145 lbs. How many of those did you do?"
Me: "My normal three sets of twelve reps."
A: "Good Job Babe!"
Me: "... OMG!!!!! I SQUATTED 145 POUNDS."
Needless to say I was on cloud nine the rest of the day and it only took until two days after and a discussion with A to figure out my accomplishment was greater than I had thought. I had originally thought I was weak because I thought I wasn't able to up my weight that workout, but turns out I had made almost a 50 pound increase. (workout date 11/1/2012)
