I did intervals on the treadmill and just switched from speed 7.0 for one minute to 2.5 for one minute for a total of 45 minutes of off and on running. I will start posting more exercises from pinterest and doing them fro my cardio soon.

Just decided to do interval running and some minor ab work this morning.
Abs included crunches, Russian twists, and weighted v-ups. Same cardio interval I've been doing all week and weighted abs tonight.
This will be my last workout before the trip because tomorrow night A has a lacrosse game and I will be sitting in the stands late into the night cheering. Ab workout: 20 45lb. plate v ups x2 20 Russian twists with 25lb db (dumbbell) x2 40 Bent over obliques 25lb db (20 each side) 20 normal oblique crunches on dip machine (10 each side) total: 100 crunches Today I still focused on cardio, but I was mostly focused on weighted abs
because the beach is now four days away. My cardio was just interval training for fifteen minutes one minute on, one minute off switching between 7.0 and 2.5 speeds. I made up my own weighted ab routine and it is written below: 20 normal crunches x2 20 side to side obliques (10 each side) 20 weighted leg ups 10 oblique crunches on the dip machine (5 each side) 20 normal crunches on dip machine 40 normal crunches on ab crunch machine *I did this once through and did not repeat because my total number of crunches added up to 130 and I figured that was enough for my first weighted ab workout, plus I still needed to do cardio. Instead of staying on the same machine and doing intervals I decided to switch machines and do intervals that way. I left out the two power walking section when doing my workout, but I think I might add them in on my next cardio day.
So I know I said I was going to get back to intervals, but Indiana Jones was on the treadmill. SO...... I just ran at 6.0 speed for 30 min. I know
boring, but tomorrow I am trying a new different type of interval workout. I just ran for 25 minutes on the treadmill at 6.0 speed because I wanted to watch a movie that was on the treadmill. It was nice to not have to think about running, but I will be getting back to interval training soon!!! I also did abs and did this 100 abs video with bosu ball.
Link to abs below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8CiR9aHEfM For cardio I just wanted to run and not really have to think about it, so I set the interval setting on the treadmill and plugged in jogging speed which is 4.0 for me and running which is 5.0. I followed a 11 minutes on 4 minutes of which means 11 minutes running 4 minutes jogging or fast walking. I did this for a total of 60 minutes. If you try this cardio interval workout don't worry about adding the times together. The way I thought about it was running and jogging/ walking adds up to 15 minutes, so you will be doing this combination a total of four times counting the first one as one.
I found this fantastic treadmill workout on Pinterest. This workout is a 25 minute running workout. I then made sure I did a five minute cool down. This workout says it is a beginner workout, but if you haven't run in awhile like I hadn't when I did it I just kept the running at 6.0 instead of climbing up.
Today I did a fun cardio workout that found on Pinterest. I only did
15 minutes of it, then I ran at a 4.0 speed for 10 minutes and did a 5 minute cool down. Treadmill Workout Below: |
