Today was my fourth leg day following this blog!!! Yay I'm at the start of my last week of my first month which means I should definitely be seeing some results and I have seen major strides in the direction that I want my body to head. My leg days and all weight days consist of a simple set up: 5 minute warm-up on cardio machine of choice, Fitness Barbie workout, and ends with however many minutes Fitness Barbie says to put in for cardio. Right after as well as the day after my walking motion resembles that of a newborn baby giraffe. If yours does as well, then your doing something right. It is important that you include the color of your nails in the things to consider for interviews, field experiences, or meeting new people. In all job fields first impressions are the most important and most people will not forget about what they first thought of you. In order to leave a good taste in their mouth take a break from the loud nail polishes. My favorite color is the outrageous hot pink that you can find in any store, but I go with white tip French manicures or neutrals for my first impression. Most people might think that the flirty, loud colors will show that you have a fun personality, but in fact it tell the other person you push boundaries and aren't afraid to bend if not break the rules of conformity. Some might think that that is a great idea, but most bosses want to know that they can trust you representing their company. Tip: Stay away from patterns (cheetah, zebra, giraffe), neon colors, dark colors (black, heavy purple, navy), and 3D nail art. Save these type of nails for girls night out, weekend getaways, and two or more week vacations. The way I keep my love of pink, but stay away from the loud hot pink color is by picking a light pink and paring it with one accent silver nail or one accent gold nail. Disclaimer: be careful about the glitter some employers frown upon the shiny stuff because it is just as distracting as the neon nail colors. My Favorite Hot Pink Nail Polish: Some approved nail impressions: Tonight I did a stair master interval workout. I found this workout on Pinterest and it was a great alternative to the usual elliptical workouts I do. I had to modify the stairstepper due you my knees hurting and only did ten minutes then played around with treadmill speed interval setting alternating 2 1/2 minutes jogging and 2 1/2 minutes sprinting for twenty minutes plus five minute cool down totalling a thirty-five minute workout. Tip: to prevent knee injury or pain after workout make sure you are not relying only on the leg you stepping up with to get you to the next stair. Also remember modifying exercises is ok. Sometimes depending on how I feel that day or how the workout is structured I may have to slow the exercise down, do the move for a shorter period of time, or move in a different way to complete the exercise. Found below: I've been growing my hair back out since August and here are some tips that have helped me before in order to make the process go a little faster. 1. Drink tons of water (you're supposed to drink at least 8oz. of water everyday. 2. Sweat daily and I mean at the point where you practically drenched. 3. Take a vitamin called Biotin- it is used for nail, skin, and hair growth. Disclaimer: If you have thick hair like I do then you will be able to go for about three weeks taking the Biotin everyday and then stop taking them for one to two weeks because your hair will start to grow in thickness instead of length. This vitamin is also great for if your hair is thinning due to stress and can be found anywhere where vitamins are sold. 4. Try to have days without styling your hair with your blow dryer, straightener, or curling iron. I have very wavy hair, so I understand if you do not like your natural hair, but on those days I like to put my hair in a bun or French braid. If you do not want to go completely without styling, then I recommend styling your hair one day, then spraying dry shampoo in your hair and putting it in a ponytail for the second day. You can also dry your hair with heat, but then skip the curling iron or straightener and put it in a ponytail. It is 15 degrees outside today and with windchill it feels like 4 degrees. Had to bundle up this morning and put a scarf on.
My eyes look tired because I stayed up late last night doing homework and filling out needed forms for field experience. I found this plyo workout through Pinterest today. Usually on plyo days I just workout in my room instead of going to the gym because they don't require equipment which is great due to the freezing temperatures outside and insane wind blowing around. My calves never stopped burning. I don't have kids, but great workout to do with your children because it is kind of like dancing and they will enjoy it.
Tip: I recommend you always eat before you workout because if you don't you NUMBER 1: do not have the energy to finish the workout, especially a cardio workout, and NUMBER 2: you will be burning your muscle that you have built instead of the fat you wanted to get rid of in the first place. I find it easy to just eat dinner and then wait an hour before you start working out in order to prevent your dinner from coming back up as well as pesky heartburn. figure out what I could do to my nails to make my nail polish last longer. I have habit of being rough with them and in the weight room nails just can't survive. I found an awesome way to keep them looking like they are brand new and all you have to do is buy a Gel varnish called Gelous. Things you will need: 1. Gelous 2. Polish of your choice (does not have to be a gel nail polish) Steps: 1. Brush on a layer of Gelous where your polish will be and let dry for an hour. For example: If your doing tips just at the tip of your nails. If your doing the whole nail paint the entire nail. 2. Paint on your polish of choice and let sit for an hour. 3. Paint an coat of the Gelous over your entire nail and let dry for an hour. DONE!!! My name is Kenzie and I am 20 years old. I am a junior in college with an Early Education Major. This page will be used for beauty tips and hair I like on Pinterest. I also like to play around with my own hair and make up. I have been both brown and blonde and from as short as my chin to rib cage in length. My make up ranges from no make up to full make up depending on the day and occasions. Tonight was my cardio day and I did an intense cardio workout that I found on Pinterest. Tip: Have a workout buddy- this doesn't mean a person that has to be at the gym with you for every workout, but someone you can call or text after your workout to brag about what you accomplished. Celebrate the small results and the goals you have achieved. My boyfriend, Anthony, is my workout buddy and he has only been to one of my workouts, but I can always count on him to give me a thumbs up when I tell him about what I accomplished that night. I did a total 25 minute workout following this which means I did a five
minute warm up, repeated the workout three times, and a five minute cool down. I was sweating buckets and it takes a very aggressive workout for that to happen. |
