I am wanting SPRING weather. It is supposed to warm up this week, but it's not quite there so I am sporting a short sleeve, cheetah patterned shirt with skinny jeans, flip flops, and a bright pink scarf (my favorite color). It was almost warm enough for shorts today, but the wind killed that dream when I stepped outside this morning. I find bright colors really help wake you up as well as alter your mood especially when you have to be inside from 8:00am-2:30pm or if your struggling with the spring forward time change.

It was nice to work my arm muscles. I loved every bit of it and I have
been slacking on my workout descriptions. I started trying the push ups because I felt like I could be able to do it now. I was able to do 2 sets of ten of each push up, but I switched the narrow push up for a triangle push up. I have an Avon makeup disk that has five different shades of browns on it ranging from cream to dark black/brown. I use a medium brown for all over my eyelid, the dark brown, which is the second darkest color. for my crease, and a tan for under my eyebrow and inner corner. I then, take a black liquid eyeliner and line the top eyelid along the lash line. I flick it out with a for small cat eye at the end. I put mascara on both my top and bottom lashes and line the bottom waterline on my bottom lid. I like this look because it is dark enough to make my brown eyes pop, but not too dark to the point where it looks like I'm trying to pull of night time make up during the day. If your eye color is lighter like a green or blue then just use the tan, that I used for my inner corner, for your all over eyelid, the medium brown for your crease, and the cream for your eyebrow/ inner corner. You will also, need to pick a lighter op eyeliner color such as blue, green, or brown.
I'm going to another field experience today and decided that even though it looks dreary outside I was going to wear fun, spring/summer clothes. I will be wearing a white cardigan over my dress. I curled my hair because I was trying out hairstyles for the spring break trip with A and our friends. These colors just make me smile on a day like
this!!! I blew last weeks record out of the water and I squatted one set of 75
lbs. I love leg days because I feel like I work the hardest. My legs are one of the areas that I am trying to better myself in the most and that is probably why I work so hard on them because I understand the harder you work the more progress you see. I also added on holding myself up on the dip machine and doing normal crunches and oblique crunches that way which is something I think I will continue to work on every workout I do. I was able to get 10 of each!!!!! one of the variations I wear beyond my sweater shirt combo. This was my second shoulder workout since I was cleared and I am loving them I can't wait until their progress starts to show just like the rest of my body has. I am really hoping that by the time my cousin's wedding in June that they will look phenomenal in my strapless maxi I'm planning on wearing. By then I will have been working my shoulders out for three months and the rest of my body for five!!!!

to watch a movie that was on the treadmill. It was nice to not have to think about running, but I will be getting back to interval training soon!!! BUT after a big milestone tonight presented itself I just couldn't help it. You know the little steps are what make the journey. I was
starting my interval training on the treadmill and when I went to run my shorts that are normally on my waist were now above my belly button!!! I was not used to tightening my shorts past the point I had them, so I decided to tighten my shorts as tight as they would go. They are drawstrings so I was able to tighten a lot and I thought I had it solved, but.... low and behold when I started running again my shorts jumped up above my belly button quicker than before. I decided to do a fast walking incline treadmill workout instead and when I arrived home I found some more positive things. This past summer I was going constantly with school, eating more than my fair share of fast food, and neglecting the gym. About midsummer I am not ashamed to say, because we all let ourselves go sometimes, I was at a comfortable size 8 in shorts which was not my norm. I got home today and tried on those same 8's and they were loose. I then turned to the 6's and told myself before I put them on that it's ok if they don't fit right now because my journey isn't over. I slipped one pair on, then another, and another and they all fit! Only one pair was a little tight on my thighs, but not all 6's are made the same. I then took a deep breath and reached for my fours and what do you know, those same shorts that I was not able to get up past a couple of inches above my knees, were around my hips and almost buttoned!!!!! I have been working out for almost two months now and I did see minor changes after the first month, but it was mostly tightening and slight slimming, I am now breaking through mountains and not slowing down. |
