I did chest and tricep and I tried to do push ups, but was only able to do two sets of ten because I waited until after everything else to do them. For cardio I did ten minutes of one minute at the speed of 7 and then one minute of 2.5 speed intervals. I have been slacking on cardio this week because I love lifting, but hate cardio now. A told me that I need to be better about my cardio because I will start looking like a body builder if I don't start running more. UGHHHH!!!!!

I did a blow out on my hair at home for the first time. I didn't want to
have to dry and then straighten it because with my thick hair that is a lot of work. A was also waiting on me to get ready, so we could go eat lunch so there was no need in making him starve any longer than I had to. I first did a rough dry, which is where you flip your hair every which way until its almost straw dry with a blow dryer. Then, your divide your hair into three sections top, left, and right. The top sections needs to go from the front and end in a point halfway down the back of your head. Lastly, you just take a round brush and curl your ends either under or out then pin them like its around an imaginary roller. Once all sections are pinned hit with cool air until hair feels cold and take pins out. This was easy to do and you can also do curls instead of my hair being straight your just have to brush through the hair with the brush, wrap it up, and when your unwind it twist it away from your face while hitting it with heat. You'll want to pin these up like a pin curl. I will probably try curling and flipping backwards methods when my hair is longer. I did legs today and went as hard as I could because I am leaving in less than a week for the beach and I want those to look good in my bikini!!!! I
am squatting 75 pounds now and am so excited. A and I were joking that pretty soon I will be able to squat him, but not likely cause he's made of complete muscle and in the upper one-hundreds due to his muscle mass. I still have a long way to go, but I'll get there! Fitness Barbie Workout: http://www.fitnessbarbielaurengleisberg.com/2012/10/legs-1015.html Since spring break is in two weeks for me and summer is just around the corner for others I thought I would share some beach/pool hairstyles to protect your part. One summer I decide to wear my hair down part exposed and all without sunscreen because I did not want to spray it and risk looking like I had white hairs sprouting. BIG MISTAKE! Not only was my head red like a tomato, but I also had to deal with the peeling, which comes with every burn, that looked like I had horrible dandruff. SOOOO EMBARRASSING!! So here are the following hairstyles that I rock to protect my part: 1. The Ponytail with a Poof- It's a classic. Not only does it protect your part, but it also adds some volume to your hair preventing you from looking like a drowned rat and elongating your face. (Can also be modified by adding a headband without a poof or a side ponytail) 2. The Bun- messy or not is your choice and may be decided based on your level of expertise as well as limited materials. 3. Braids for days- I like braids, because they pull less on your scalp when wet, which is good for people with thick hair, like me, and hair growth/health in general. 4. The Floppy Hat- I am in love with my floppy beach hat! If you do not want to do these above hairstyles, then this is a great alternative. Not only does it protect your part, but it also protects your face in case it got to much sun the day before. When I go to the beach our typical day exists of going out on the beach all day and then getting dressed up for dinner. I like to curl my hair because it is easier with my naturally wavy hair. Then, when I wake up the next day to go to the beach I just dump my head upside down, hair spray it, and flip back over placing my hat on top. (Hats can be worn with straight hair as well, but I think a little movement in the hair looks better with the floppy hat specifically) This outfit can be a date night or casual outfit. I love my heels and would live in them, but when I am doing field experiences some schools do not
allow tall heels. Right now I can only wear my heels on weekends and days I am not at my field experience. My outfit consists of a tan leather jacket, a long sleeve, black, v neck shirt (it was cold), skinny blue jeans, and nude pumps. My make up is my normal everyday brown smokey eye look and my hair is a ponytail with a tall poof in the front to add height as well as go with the theme of "CLASSY ROCKER." This outfit can also be worn with your hair down either straight or curly. Lastly, when buying a women's leather jacket make sure it is tailored in order to accentuate your curves not hid them. Hiding curves will cause your to look heavier than you are or man-like with a rectangular body. I decided since I am doing legs tomorrow I would do cardio in the gym with a Plyo focus instead of a plyometric workout. I started out on the Stairmaster and did intervals for six minutes. Then, I switched to the bike and pedaled for four minutes up a steep hill. Third, I did five minutes of intense incline and resistance on the elliptical. Lastly, I did ten minutes of jogging on the hill setting of my treadmill and finished out with five minutes of fast walking with an incline of 15, which is the highest my treadmill goes. This is a grand total of a 30 minute workout.
IT'S SAINT PATTIE DAY! I work in a middle school and I love the holiday, sooo of course I wore my green today. You can definitely spot the education majors on campus, because we're all green. I went a little over the top this year and decided to wear, along with my sweatshirt, green nails. Sport your green today in whatever amount you feel comfortable with and have fun!!!!
My Cousin and his Fiance are having their wedding at the family farm, so my family went up to help clean with the rest of the extended family. I learned to cut stakes, and signs with a table saw, but we didn't have safety goggles so I wore my mom's diva sunglasses (stylish and productive). I then lopped tree branches for them to burn which was a little hard with my shoulder, so that didn't last long, but I did my part by carrying the pieces and raking piles of scraps to the fire. Then, I worked with my dad cutting trees with a bow saw, which is another thing I learned to use that day. Lastly, I helped with the arts and crafts portion of the wedding painting signs, nailing letters to the door, and creating hanging mason jars. It was fun and after a ten hour manual labor day I was tired!!! P.S. My parents are the ones in the table saw picture, it was a work day so close ups of people's faces are not allowed It's barely warm enough!!! I decided that since A is out of town in Ohio,
that I would slip into my swimsuit and take some me time. I came home from my field experience, grabbed my roomies, and we kicked it poolside. I always bring a beach bag and it includes: a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and my towel clips! Member to protect from skin cancer and eye cancer to wear your sunglasses even on cloudy days and always reapply your sunscreen or it's not doing its job. Tonight I did my shoulder workout and then jumped on the bike and pressed the hill setting button to try something new for my cardio portion. The bike really targeted my thighs and it was easier on my knees than the stairmaster. I don't normally do hashtags, but thought this moment needed it!
